The Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, proudly hosted the IMRT/IGRT Clinical Training Course from June 23–26, 2025, with generous support from ELEKTA.
This four-day program provided an intensive hands-on and lecture-based learning experience in Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT). The goal was to strengthen practical knowledge and clinical applications across disciplines — including radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists — while encouraging collaboration and experience exchange.
Topics covered included:
Immobilization and IGRT fundamentals
Dose calculation algorithms and QA
Site-specific clinical benefits: CNS, Head & Neck, Pelvis (Anorectal, Prostate, Cervix), Thorax
Hands-on planning using Monaco TPS
4D CT simulation and 4D CBCT workflow
IGRT applications for various anatomical sites
The course featured expert speakers and specialists from Siriraj Hospital’s multidisciplinary team.
We were also honored to welcome 4 medical physicists from Vietnam as international participants, further enhancing regional academic collaboration.
